  2. The following features make the program easier to navigate.  Since 
  3. they're powerful, and easy to use once you know about them, we wanted to 
  4. call them to your attention.

  6.  
  7.                              SUBJECT ICON MENU 
  8.  
  9. There are three Subject Icon Menus.  Each menu has icons for 27 different
  10. subjects.  When the program starts one of the menus will appear.
  11.  
  12. You can find out which subject an icon represents, without actually 
  13. selecting it, by using the TAB key or by positioning the mouse pointer 
  14. over the icon and pressing, but not releasing, the left mouse button.  
  15. Additional information about the currently selected icon will appear at
  16. the bottom of the screen.
  17.  
  18. The two "File Folder" icons in the lower left hand corner of the screen
  19. give you access to the other two Subject Icon Menus.  If you'd prefer to 
  20. use the Subject List Box, Subject Finder List Box, Word Search, etc. 
  21. just click on the "Cancel" icon and you'll move directly to the Browser.

  24.                                BROWSER TIP 
  25.  
  26. Press any letter to move the Browser's highlight bar to the first record
  27. whose selected key string begins with that letter. 
  28.  
  29. For example, if the active index is Subject, then pressing either "B" or
  30. "b" will position the Browser's highlight bar on the first record in the
  31. subject of Beauty, which happens to be the first subject which begins with
  32. the letter "B."

  34. Note:  The currently Active Index is displayed at the bottom of the Browser
  35. screen.

  38.                                 SECTIONS 
  39.  
  40. Every subject is divided into the following sections:
  41.  
  42.    1. Essence   -- Root, Heart
  43.  
  44.    2. Opposites -- Balance, Change, Paradoxes
  45.  
  46.    3. Insight   -- Perspective, Viewpoint
  47.  
  48.    4. Positive  -- Aspects, Influences, Presence, Qualities, and Virtues
  49.  
  50.    5. Negative  -- Aspects, Influences, Absence, Qualities, and Vices
  51.  
  52.    6. Advice    -- Strategy, Suggestions, Helpful Information
  53.  
  54.    7. Potpourri -- Poetry, Verse, Humor, Flowers and Weeds
  55.  
  56. This organization enables you to readily locate all items of a particular
  57. type - just click on the "Balloons Button" in the View Screen to access the
  58. Sections Dialog; then select a section by clicking the left mouse button on
  59. the desired checkbox.

  61. However, since each section has both an individual and a collective
  62. meaning, the best results will be obtained by reading each subject from 1
  63. to 7.

  66.                                  FILTERS
  67.  
  68. Filters allow you customize the quotes that are displayed.  They act as 
  69. your electronic gatekeepers.  
  70.  
  71. Here's how they work:  
  72. Each filter tests for its named quality.  The display gate opens 
  73. only if the test is passed.  When multiple filters are ON it 
  74. is only necessary for a quote to pass one test to be shown.

  93. How To Turn A Filter ON:
  94. Options|Filter(s) ON displays Filters Dialog.
  95. Click left mouse button on desired Check Boxes.
